Ireland's Classic Hits Radio live, which began its regionally available broadcast as a commercial radio station in 2009. Initially based in Dublin, the radio station was originally named "4FM". It later expanded to "Classic Hits 4FM", and in 2018, it became "Classic Hits". In 2021, it adopted its present name. The station is owned by Choice Broadcasting Ltd. Ireland's Classic Hits Radio aims to provide light-hearted entertainment for the adult age group by curating its music lineup from the best popular music of the last five decades. As a result, the radio's playlist spans from the 70s through the 80s, 90s, 00s to the best easy-listening pop music of the present. There is a strong emphasis on older classics, so songs from the new millennium are relatively rare. When played, they typically have a classic sound produced with real instruments. In addition to the music, the station offers news and weather information packages, along with talk-show programmes to diversify its schedule. The radio station kicks off weekday mornings with the "Colm & Lucy in the Morning" breakfast show, running from 6am to 10am. The show is hosted by Colm Hayes and Lucy Kennedy, who ensure a cheerful and uplifting atmosphere to start the day on a positive note.
